Q: What is MIS? Why is there an MIS Club?
A: MIS stands for "Managment Information Systems". The MIS Club's stated goal is to help its members to connect with recruiters and with each other.

Q: Can any Iowa State University student be a member?
A: Yes. Our efforts are targeted primarily towards MIS students, but anyone is welcome to sign up.

Q: Can non-students be members?
A: No. The scope of our efforts are limited to students. If you are an MIS professional and are interested in recruiting via the club, we are more than happy to work with you.
Q: Can any member be a part of the executive board?
A: Yes. We're always looking for help. Freshmen, all the way up are eligible. To hold one of the cabinet positions, you must have been on the executive board for one or more semesters.

Q: Is the MIS Club affiliated with the College of Buisness?
A: We quite often work with the C.O.B., however, we are not directly affiliated with them. If you are interested in getting a hold of someone there, please visit the College of Business Homepage for more information.
Q: If the MIS Club isn't a part of the College of Business, how is it funded?
A: We are funded through a combination of corporate donations, club fundraisers, and member dues.

Q: How do I get involved with the club?
A: Hop on over to the executive bio's page and contact either the Speaker Coordinator or the Special Events Coordinator. They are responsible for scheduling all of our club events.

Q: My company isn't able to participate in club events at this time, but we would like to recruit from the club.
A: You can recruit from us in many ways. Some of the more standard options are to
A. Come to our free semesterly receptions,
B. Check out the resume database, or
C. Come to the semesterly College of Business career fairs.
